SUMMER 2013 at Cornerstone Baptist Church

CAMP

This year’s Summer Camp was held at Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales. Campers came from the mother church at Quezon City, mission churches in Pampanga and Batangas, and from our fellowshipping church in Dasmariñas City, Cavite. Our host in this camp was the Pampanga Church pastored by Ptr. Jed Raquintan with the help of Bro. Alvin Bautista.

We enjoyed spending 3 days and 2 nights at Wild Rose Resort. We benefitted from the Word of God together and the fellowship with one another. Every night, we were encouraged by the brethren who shared to the congregation how the Lord worked in their lives.

DVBS

To reach our barangay, we conducted a five-day Daily Vacation Bible School for children and youth. Our lessons focused on the life of Daniel and his friends. The teachers were Sis. Eden, Ruth Naomi, Hannah Lois, Eunice, Bro. Bebot Ragsac and Bro. Robin Santiago. We had more or less 90 participants in this activity.

ANNIVERSARY

Since 1983, Cornerstone Baptist Church has been trail blazing for Christ, and this year’s anniversary capped our 30 years of doing the great commission. Our mission churches attended the celebration. Special awards and recognitions were given to faithful members of the church.

POST ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Our Music Ministry presented a post-anniversary concert entitled, “Praise Ye the Lord” on May 4, 2013. The highlights of this event were the songs composed by our pianist and choir director, Sis. Ruth Naomi Raquintan. She composed five songs using lyrics from the book of Psalms. We are selling a CD record of these 17 songs.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

May 6, 2013 was an enjoyable day for our youth with our Pastor and the tentmakers from Vietnam. This activity was held at the Green Nature Resort, Upper Patiis, San Mateo, Rizal from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. More than 30 youth and singles from Quezon City, Pampanga and Batangas churches attended the fellowship. One of its purposes was to challenge the youth to consider mission work. A forum with the tentmakers was conducted to give them chance to hear their experiences in the mission field. Other activities were swimming, basketball and indoor games.
