The CBC Music Ministry is currently headed by Pastor Roland Niar. He is assisted on the piano by Ruth Naomi Raquintan, and on the violin by Hannah Lois Raquintan. The choir consists of 21 regular choir members—nine sopranos, five altos, 3 tenors, and four basses. It is also training several young people who will eventually be part of the choir after passing the necessary requirements. In the meantime, they do special numbers during the evening service once a month.
This ministry, in cooperation with the children’s ministry, is in the process of forming a Junior Choir which will regularly sing every quarter during church services. A group of children and youth musicians is currently being trained to play the lyre, violin, and piano. Lord willing, they will be the ones to accompany the Junior Choir.
Among the plans of the ministry are the following:
- to create a strings chamber
- to train other pianists; and
- to assist the mission churches which do not have a regular accompanist through the training of potential musicians.
