A third class municipality in the province of Pangasinan, Villasis is the home to the first mission church of Cornerstone Baptist Church (CBC). Located between the bustling areas of Urdaneta City and Rosales, it is a witness to the love and dedication of CBC men and women of God who brought the Word of God to the hearts of the Pangasinenses.

Mission work in Villasis started in 1989 as a result of a burden of a young Christian lady to bring the gospel to her family in the province. That lady was Annabelle Ragsac. Upon getting saved, Annabelle was determined to let her family know of her Savior. So she made known her desire to win her family to Christ to the leaders of CBC. (Read More)

Ptr. Luis D. Hitosis, Missionary

Can one find salvation by adhering to one’s religion or satisfaction by achieving one’s ambition? “Never,” is my answer as the story of the following missionary pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church (CBC) illustrates well.

Luis Dela Cruz Hitosis, Jr., the CBC missionary pastor to Villasis, Pangasinan, was born in the provincial capital of Sorsogon on September 29, 1964. He is the eldest child of Luis Hitosis, Sr. and Leonora Dela Cruz who have relatives in the Roman Catholic (RC) clergy and nunnery, and were themselves religious RC lay people.

The family lived in Casiguran, Sorsogon. There the young lad enrolled at the Casiguran Central School to gain basic knowledge and learning. After he received his elementary diploma, Louie was sent to Sorsogon, Sorsogon to continue his studies there. He enrolled at the Sorsogon National High School, where he finished high school. He then went to Legazpi City, Albay to enroll at Bicol University to take up Electrical engineering. (Read More)
